The Scarlet ex Booster Pack released in Jan 2023 features cards from the Japanese Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) from the Scarlet & Violet Era. This set marks the introduction of Pokemon ex and is the first to feature Generation IX and focus on Koraidon and Miraidon. The set is the first to feature Pokemon, items, characters and places from the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games. Certain Pokemon ex also include a new Tera mechanic, based on the Terastal phenomenon from the Scarlet and Violet games, that works similarly to Ancient Traits.
